Our guest for May’s Luncheon Seminar is Japan’s leading creative director, Mr. Hiroshi Sasaki. Mr. Sasaki was in charge of the flag handover ceremony at the closing of the 2016 Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games, and became a hot topic when he dressed Prime Minister Abe as Mario for the event.
Mr. Sasaki has been creating numerous advertisements, and has been involved in corporate and product branding such as “Inu no Otosan” for Softbank, “BOSS” for Suntory, and “Let’s go to Kyoko” for JR Tokai. He started as a creator at Dentsu and established Shingata in 2003.
On this occasion, Mr. Sasaki will be sharing his experiences staging the “miraculous 8 minutes” of the flag handover ceremony at the closing of the Rio Olympic Games, behind-the-scenes anecdotes, and what he sees unfolding ahead.
